The most commonly used camera for photography is in your hand right now. iPhone is known to have amazing camera lenses and even more amazing photo-processing algorithms. This is the reason that iPhones are popular with photographers and artists going around the city to capture their best shots.

They are light and easier to handle and offer great details when used right. But smartphone cameras alone won’t get you far. Today we will be listing 5 top accessories that you should carry with you to enhance your photography experience.

5. Accessories Bag

The first accessory may seem obvious for some, but you will be surprised how helpful this tip can be for others. Carry a small accessories bag to store all the other things you might need on your photo walk.
Picture
Accessory bad ensures that you always have everything you need. It is important to get a good accessory bag that is comfortable on long photo walks. You don’t want to be distracted by a bag that isn’t designed for comfort.

4. Remote Shutter Release

The remote shutter release is a small standalone device that connects to your mobile phone and allows you to click pictures without being physically near your phone.
Picture
Without a remote shutter release device, you need to set timers and then run against the clock to get into position.
The best part is that you don’t even have to buy a remote shutter release. iPhone buds have a remote shutter release feature built-in. So does the Apple watch. In fact, most smart bands or smartwatches allow you to use it as a remote shutter release.

3. Extra Light source

Even though iPhone’s built-in flashlight works in most cases. It is always nice to have more control over your lighting conditions.
Picture
You can buy external lighting devices that are small and portable yet powerful and offer a better quality of light. This is especially important for people that like to shoot in low light conditions.

2. External Lens

One of the best ways to enhance your iPhone’s camera abilities is by using an external lens add-on. There are so many different options by so many companies.

Olloclip is known for its camera lens add-ons that are very easy to install and have good picture quality. External Lens come in all shapes and sizes, from wide angles to a macro lenses. You can get almost any type of lens as an add-on.

1. Tripod

The most important accessory of them all. Tripods are a staple for any serious photographer. They allow you to place the camera in perfect positions and help keep them stable. Stability is essential for long exposure shots or pictures where you also want to be in the picture.

Not all tripods are made equal. Some are huge industrial-grade tripods. Those are not that portable for someone using a smartphone camera.

Gorilla-style tripods are great if you want something portable and versatile. Due to their flexibility, you can even tie them around objects like trees and poles.

Jungles also offer a unique perspective into a very different biosphere that we are used to. So let us take a look at some of the best jungles in the world to photograph.

Picture
Let us begin by importing an elephant from the object menu. You can open the object menu by clicking on the grid at the bottom right.
Picture
After we have imported the elephant, let us change the saturation on the elephant to give it a reddish look.
Picture
I will also be using the hue slider to add some final touches to the elephant.
Picture
Now for the final addition, we add a black and white filter to the background.

Filters are an important part of the Urban Jungle Photo Editor experience. There are dozens of different filters to choose from in the Urban Jungle application. Adding filters to your images can cut down editing time and be a convenient way to add finishing touches to your art piece.

In this blog post, we will be showcasing our Neon-style family of filters. To open the filter selection menu, click on the Filters tab at the bottom right.

Picture
The first style of filter in the Neon Family is called Cyborg. This filter is a little intense with the high contrast pinks and sky blue. It is a really great to give a retro cyberpunk vibe.
Picture
The second style is called Dystopian. And as the name suggests, a dystopian filter gives a dark and gloomy effect to the picture. The oranges are more prominent in Dystopian.
Picture
The last style is called Neon. It is a kind of mix between Cyborg and Dystopian, blending the shocking pink with oranges of the dystopian. It does give a look of something being illuminated by neon lights.

Urban Jungle Photo Editor has plenty of other features to explore. This was just a small glimpse into the world of filters in the Urban Jungle Photo Editor Application.

In this week’s blog, we will be looking at the Surreal family of filters in the Urban Jungle Photo Editor.
We can start by opening the filter tab at the bottom right.
Picture
The first filter in the surreal section is called the negative. As the name says, it gives a negative photo reel feel to our image.
Picture
The second filter is called Nebula. It is a blend of pinkish and aqua hue.
Picture
Next comes the tomorrow filter. It has a more neon purple and green tint to it.
Picture
The future filter has a very rustic neon blue and brown tint to it.
Picture
The next filter is called shift, this filter has a green.
Picture
The wrap is a perfect contrasting blend of yellow and a very deep blue.
Picture
The inverse filter reverses the colors in the image. This gives a dark and bleak effect.
Picture
This wraps our brief tour through the surreal filter family.

The Fish at the End of the street: Editing Guide

7/22/2021

In this week’s blog, we thought it would be fun to do another brief editing guide on the Urban Jungle Photo Editor.
Let us start by opening the object menu by selecting the grid icon on the bottom right.
Picture
Then we can select this fish and import it to our cityscape by clicking on it.
Picture
Use the reflection slider to remove the reflection under the fish.
Picture
Repeat the process again to add another fish. But this time we can flip it to create a mirror opposite.
Picture
Now we can adjust the hue for both these fishes. I am aiming for a teal look; you can find it at the 50 mark on the slider. To really highlight our fishes, let us add a dark black and white filter to the background cityscape.
Picture
To add the final touch, we are again going to go into the object menu and find the sky category. And choose a sky full of stars. We can then import that object onto our project and expand it to the whole image. We can make it less transparent by using the transparency slider until the stars just give a subtle look to the image.

Showcasing the Flim Filter Family

7/17/2021

Urban Jungle Photo Editor is designed from the ground up to be a convenient photo editing experience. One of the exciting features of the Urban Jungle Photo Editor is its selection of curated filters. These filters offer an easy way to set the tone with your artwork.

With the Film styled filters, we aimed to bring motion pictures to your devices. Now you can easily give those classical Hollywood look to your pictures as well.

We can open the filter menu by selecting the filter tab at the bottom. Select the Film category to open up different filters that you can play around with.
Picture
The first filter is called the Fast Film. It has a really punchy dark blue floor palette to it. Really great to give a feel of a cold winter morning.
Picture
The second filter Teal orange goes in a different direction. It has a really orange feel to it. It gives a perfect look for a warm summer sunset. It has an overall warm temperature to it.
Picture
Faded steel gives a very steely look to the image. This filter does have blue undertones to it but unlike the Fast Flim, this one is brighter and jollier to look at.
Picture
The next filter Blade is very similar to the faded steel filter but emphasizes more on the blues and takes out all the reds.
Picture
The Spectre stands out from all the other Film filter categories because it adds a greenish tint to the whole thing. The result is an aqua-green color cityscape.
Picture
The Panavision is inspired by the motion picture company Panavision that makes the cameras that bring Hollywood to life. This filter gives of a yellow and orange tint, with really dark undertones. As compared to faded steel, this look is much darker.
Picture
This concludes our showcase for the Film category of filters.
